Boxes + storage = room!
And the progress continues! The dogs are loving all the action and all the new sniffs uncovered by plugging away at organizing every weekend. I’m feeling a bit discombobulated, however. But only a bit. I’m rather surprised at how not freaked out I am by all this. I’d been expecting to have had at least one or two meltdowns by this stage, but so far there’s been barely a twinge. I credit this to JD’s approach to it all. There’s never any question that the decisions are mine, and are never (well, hardly ever ;-)) questioned, no matter how odd they may appear at the time. At no time does it feel like an invasion or like I have no control over what’s happening, which makes up for a lot of discomfort caused by my general embarrassment over the situation. Yes, it’s embarrassing to have someone else see all that. Which is probably why I keep “forgetting” to take pictures of the before and after of the last few weeks. I have every intention of doing so, but for some reason I only remember when it’s too late. Dang subconscious self-sabotage. NEXT WEEK, I PROMISE! (hear that, subconscious, you’re really on the hook now!)
Anyhoot, last week we took 8 boxes to storage and got another 2 under way. I’m noticing quite a difference over the last month of this. And not only the things like: I think we packed away the lighter I use for my candles during our last bout of organizing. Good thing I had another one that I could un-package and use. Once again I’m left wondering why they package those things pre-set to “flamethrower”? Good thing Stan’s got short legs is all I can say.
This weekend’s task is the 5-foot Tower of Stuph formerly known as the blue chair. Getting past it without causing an avalanche is a lot like some kind of agility test. This will end. I hope. I’m aiming to have it down to something in the 2-3 foot range. PICTURES WILL HAPPEN!! (see, subconscious, I’m shoving you out of your comfort zone again.)
YAY PROGRESS! Woohoo! *pompoms out* Now, go take a before picture right now. 🙂 No reason that has to be done in the exact moments before cleaning. We want to see the progress so we can cheer even harder!
Okay, picture taken. Embarrassment levels at max. *sigh*
Thank you for your cheery support!! 😀
