1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground spicy Italian sausage
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped jalapeno
2 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
1 jar medium salsa
4 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 large can light red kidney beans
1 large can dark red kidney beans


In a large saucepan combine beef, sausage, and onion.  Saute over medium heat until meat is brown and onion is tender.

Add pepper, garlic, jalapenos, tomato sauce, tomatoes, salsa, Cajun seasoning, and kidney beans.

Mix well, reduce heat to low, and simmer for at least an hour.

It’s great served with shredded old cheddar sprinkled on top.
