Sorry for the delay in getting to this next post.  I’ll bet you were thinking I’d already given up!  You wouldn’t have been far wrong.  Granted, while there were some technical problems in getting the videos to load, the biggest delay was caused by simple fear.  It sounds all well and good and noble to describe the situation, but to actually post images of the reality was hitting a bit too close to home (literally).  This has been my dirty little secret for so many years, and I’ve done so much to hide it, that willingly showing the situation was exceptionally difficult.  The usual Greek chorus of “voices”: no one wants to see that; don’t be stupid; people will mock you; bylaw will come to lock you up; are you nucking futs?!?

The plan in future is to focus on small areas, with before and after pics, but it seemed right (however difficult) to show the overall “before” right at the outset.  NO MORE HIDING!  Yes, I am ashamed of it.  Deeply ashamed.  But the goal is to improve it, and improvement can only be seen in retrospect.  So….  *deep breath*…. here are the three rooms in question:
