Short week = less time
Having a long weekend is very nice, as is a short work week, but it does seem to mess with the routine somewhat. The trip south was exceptionally productive and a whole lot of fun at the same time. I may not have been around to get much done here, but DANG, did we ever get a lot done there! Including eating. Lots ‘n’ lots of eating. :pig2: Note to self: get on with building a restaurant review page as requested.
Now the goals. Ah yes, the goals. Weeeellll…… Mixed at best, but I do have an excuse; I got food poisoning somehow on Wednesday evening and was sick all Wednesday night and through Thursday, so that made some serious inroads into my productive time last week. Granted I was off work Thursday, but being curled up in bed trying to not hurl doesn’t lend itself much to getting stuff done.
- the obligatory 50 things out – managed 21; will add remainder to this week
- refill windshield washer fluid reservoir in van – got fluid (thx, J!) but still haven’t put it in the van
- celebrate! – check!!
This week has been a whirl so far since we got home quite late on Monday night. Last night was devoted to reuniting the pack and getting them all settled in. All the dogs were thrilled to see both me and each other and spent the night trying to touch as much of each other (and me) as possible.
Goals for this week. I think I’m aiming for modest, just because I feel lazy, and the week is already half over.
- 80 things out (50 from this week, 29 left over from last week, and 1 for penalty)
- washer fluid into van
- 1 load to storage unit.
That should just about do it, I think. How about the rest of you? New goals to declare? Any updates on old goals?
Well, so far this week, I’ve walked for 1/2 hour every day. Last week I actually cleaned out under my bathroom sink…and have to wonder, where the h*** did some of that stuff come from? One bag out to garbage, and several part bottles of shampoo combined in one big pump bottle. As a penalty for the delay in cleaning out under the cupboard, I also sorted through two boxes of scarves and gave some away. Progress is made. As for next week, all I can commit to is NO french fries, and continuing to walk 1/2 hour each day. It’s likely to be a chaotic week all things considered, but the walks should help.
Congrats! I love the idea of combining all the old remains of shampoo into one big bottle. I wonder if that would work with conditioner, too? I have visions of a frothing, seething mass if I combine too many different ones.
