I had some fun among the excavating last week.  I found an amazing new chili recipe that can be vegetarian.  I contaminated it with chicken broth because that’s what I had, but veggie broth  would likely be just as good.  I added mushrooms and next time I’ll also add a small can of black beans, because it needs just a bit of something and I think that would be perfect.  It’s called Smoked Pumpkin Chili and is awesome served with shredded old cheddar.  Pic of finished product:

I also had some cosmetic fun along the way.  A lovely amethyst and silver ring, in Black Hills Gold style, arrived.  It’s even prettier than it looked in the pictures on ebay.  I also decided to try an interesting “newsprint” effect on my nails, and it worked better than I’d expected.  Both are in the picture below:
