Well, I finally snapped and took RoundUp to the entire front lawn.  If someone tells you that mowing and overseeding is sufficient to allow grass to choke out weeds, laugh right in their face.  Loudly.  I’ve been doing that for 19 years, and I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t work.  DOES. NOT. WORK.  Not at all.  It just amuses the weeds.  Had it not then commenced to rain for 2 days out of the 3-day weekend, I’d also have RoundUpped the dandelions frolicking in the back drive, too.  That’ll happen this week sometime.  Now, if only the weeds die before bylaw notices them and gets snarky…..  Pics of “before” and “after” will appear in a later post, when there’s actually an “after” to show.  With luck, I’ll also be able to post pictures of the most awesome lilac ever!
